Tunnel Beach
Hello blog!
So this week, my friend Amy texted our group with a proposal to go play frisbee on the beach since it was a nice day (gasp!! shock!!). Me and Dylan responded that we were in, and the three of us got in the Polly Trolley to first acquire a frisbee. Next we decided that we would go to Tunnel Beach, since we had all heard it was beautiful and we thought there would be a nice sunset.
We drove about 25 mins to Tunnel beach to discover its not really a beach at all, its more like a series of cliffs along the coastline (not ideal for playing frisbee). We were too scared to toss the frisbee here because there was a large possibility that it would end up in the ocean; and we all know that the ocean doesn’t need more plastic in it!!!!!!
Although the frisbee idea was dead, we still decided to hike down the very steep path towards the cliffs. The view from these cliffs was absolutely amazing - NZ really knows how to impress. When the sun started to go down the three of us just sat down by the cliffs and watched the water in silence. We just appreciated the beauty of the sunset, the cliffs, the rocks and the water and it didn’t matter that our frisbee plans had been dashed.
New Zealand has yet to disappoint.
